Sanyipace SU01B Smart Toilet Seat Review: Something I Didn’t Expect to Actually Like

This blog post is based on a review video from the YouTube channel Vincent VinTech. The following content reflects personal experiences and impressions from practical use and represents the author’s opinion solely.

Hi everyone! Today, we’re covering a somewhat unusual topic on the channel. We’re in my bathroom at home, because I want to introduce you to a product that, to be honest, I never thought I’d end up reviewing on the channel.

Today we’re talking about the Sanyipace SU01B smart toilet seat. And I can tell you right off the bat: this thing is surprisingly practical and comfortable to use in everyday life.

SU01B Smart Toilet Seat

The system consists of two parts: the main lid, which opens automatically as soon as you approach, and the seat underneath. It also features built-in lighting, which is especially handy at night. Of course, you can also open or close the seat using the remote control.

But the device can do much more: water filtration, warm-air drying, seat heating, odor neutralization, and other features. We’ll go into more detail on those shortly. But first, I’ll show you the installation, because it’s actually much easier than you might think.

Installation of the SU01B Smart Toilet Seat Was Easier Than Expected

Before installing the Smart Toilet Seat, I honestly expected the setup to be annoying.

Water connections, electricity, mounting brackets… I assumed it would turn into one of those half-day DIY projects.

But overall, it was much simpler than I thought.

Inside the box, you get:

  • The smart toilet seat itself

  • Remote control with wall mount

  • Water supply hose

  • Water filter

  • Mounting hardware

  • Power cable

  • AAA batteries

  • Plumbing fittings

  • User manual

The remote can either be screwed into the wall or attached using the included adhesive tape. I ended up using the adhesive option, which worked perfectly fine.

Removing the Old Toilet Seat

This part was slightly embarrassing.

At first, I assumed the old toilet seat had to be loosened from underneath, which is how most of them work. So I spent a few minutes awkwardly feeling around under the toilet, trying to figure out why nothing was moving.

Eventually, after a quick online search, I realized this particular model unscrews from the top instead. Once the old seat was removed, I cleaned the mounting area—which, honestly, needed it more than I expected.

It’s amazing how much dirt builds up around old toilet seat mounts over time.

After that, installation became straightforward:

  • Insert rubber mounting sleeves

  • Attach the mounting plate

  • Slide the seat into position

  • Adjust alignment

I actually repositioned the seat a few times because I wanted it sitting as flush as possible against the toilet.

After a bit of tweaking, everything lined up nicely.

Water and Electricity Connections

Next came a bit of plumbing work. I disconnected the toilet’s water supply and installed the included T-fitting in its place. Then I connected the filter and the water supply hose.

After that, all that was left was to connect the power—and everything worked perfectly right away.

Later, I replaced the visible hose with a more discreet model and installed a smart outlet to measure power consumption.

Basically, the installation is really straightforward:

★two water connections,

★one electrical outlet,

★done.

The only important thing is that there needs to be an electrical outlet near the toilet. In my case, I had to have one installed specifically for this purpose.

Features and Specifications

1.  Automatic Opening and Display

As soon as you approach the toilet, the lid opens automatically. This is actually very convenient in everyday life. As soon as you sit down, additional features are activated. A small display shows:

▶Eco mode,

▶the water temperature,

▶the seat temperature,

▶as well as various status indicators.

You can also turn the device off completely using the dial on the side. If you hold it down for three seconds, the toilet will function just like a regular toilet again.

2. Remote Control & Cleaning Functions

All functions can be controlled using the remote control. At the touch of a button, a nozzle extends and begins cleaning with water. It features:

  • a standard mode,
  • a special mode for women,
  • various position settings,
  • as well as several water temperatures: 34 °C, 37 °C, or 40 °C.

The water jet is surprisingly powerful and effective. Of course, it feels a bit strange at first, since systems like this aren't very common here yet.

3. Warm-Air Drying: Nice, But Takes Patience

The warm-air drying function works well enough, though this was probably the feature that required the most adjustment for me.

Mainly because it’s slower than simply using toilet paper.

You can choose between:

  • Cold air

  • 45°C

  • 50°C

  • 55°C

It works.

But realistically, whether you fully rely on it probably depends on your patience level. Still, combined with the washing function, it definitely reduces toilet paper usage quite a bit.

 4. Fully Automatic Mode

The “Auto Cleaning” mode launches a complete comfort program:

  • Cleaning with water,
  • Oscillating nozzle movement,
  • Warm-air drying,
  • Heated seat.

It’s practically a complete wellness program for the toilet.

In addition, the unit features a self-cleaning function that automatically flushes the nozzles.

5. Integrated Odor Neutralization

A small scent capsule can be inserted into the back of the seat. Personally, I don't find the scent particularly strong, but it probably helps reduce unpleasant odors. It's not a must-have, but it's a nice extra.

Electricity Consumption

I was actually pretty curious to see how much electricity a device like this uses with all of its heating features. So I measured its power consumption using a smart plug.

In standby mode, it consistently draws about 4 watts. Naturally, consumption increases slightly when it’s in use.

With four people in the household, the total daily consumption was about 150 Wh—meaning only a few cents in electricity costs per day. So the consumption really is quite low.

And since you use less toilet paper at the same time, that might even partially offset the cost in the end.

What I Liked?

After using the SU01B smart toilet seat for a while, a few things stood out to me most:

  • Surprisingly comfortable

  • Much more hygienic feeling

  • The heated seat is fantastic in winter

  • Automatic lid becomes genuinely convenient

  • Installation is easier than expected

  • Electricity usage is fairly low

  • Remote is simple to use

  • Build quality feels solid for the price

Most importantly:

It actually became something I enjoyed using daily. And that’s probably the biggest compliment I can give a product like this.

What Could Be Better?

Of course, it’s not perfect.

The Drying Function Is Slow: It works fine, but it definitely requires more patience than toilet paper.

You Need a Nearby Power Outlet: This probably won’t matter in newer bathrooms, but older bathrooms may require additional electrical work.

The Experience Takes Time To Adjust To: If you’ve never used a smart toilet before, expect the first few days to feel unusual.

That adjustment period is real.

Test Results & Final Thoughts

To be honest, I never thought I’d say this about a toilet—but you really do feel much cleaner afterward.

Of course, it takes some getting used to at first, especially since toilets like this are still pretty uncommon here. In many Asian countries, however, they’ve long been part of everyday life.

But once you get used to it, you really don’t want to go without it anymore.

For me, the system definitely offers more hygiene and comfort. Of course, it’s not a necessity, but it’s a real luxury in everyday life.

The price is around $200. That’s not exactly cheap, but when you consider how much a high-quality standard toilet seat already costs and the additional features this one offers, it puts things into perspective.

SU01B Smart Toilet Seat

Concluding Remarks

This ended up being one of the strangest sanyipace toilet seat product reviews I’ve done—but also one of the more surprising ones.

Because underneath all the tech features and gimmicks, the biggest thing this product delivers is simple: Comfort.

And once you get used to that comfort, it’s surprisingly hard to give up.
